The Douglas County Community Health
Improvement Project (CHIP) was created in 1997 to provide cohesive
direction and strategies
for improving health in Douglas County. Representatives from health
organizations and community agencies in Douglas County lead CHIP
with the vision that their combined efforts will improve community
health. CHIP changed its name to the Community Health Improvement Partnership in 2009.
The leadership of CHIP strives to act as a catalyst to create a healthier Douglas County. It's mission is to do this by using research-based data and collaboration to develop strategies for improving the health of Douglas County residents.
