Since 1999, CHIP has had task forces addressing issues in the following areas:

• Drinking during pregnancy; distributed posters throughout community and provided education via physician offices to pregnant women about the effects of alcohol use during pregnancy; developed public service announcement for local radio stations; 1999 – 2001.
• Adult Immunizations; provided education via member agencies and distributing flyers on the importance of adults receiving annual flu shot; 2001 – 2009.
• Mental Health services in the Douglas County community; provide education to members of the community of what services exist as well as identifying gaps in services in Douglas County; 2005-06 and 2007-2010.
